Anne Marie Crowley, BA H.Dip Ed MSc (Senior Practitioner in Coaching, EMCC)

Length of time practising as an executive coach; specialities and levels I am practising as an Executive Coach for more than 12 years working with all levels up to Director in a broad spectrum of specialities and sectors both private and public.  My clients for coaching work in: Financial/Insurance/Banking/Legal, Government/Agencies, Education, Healthcare, Leisure/Hospitality, IT/Technology, Manufacturing, Shared Services, Retail/Wholesale/Services, Agri/Food and the Arts.
Coaching Style and Approach My style is to enable the client to think and explore their thoughts including ideas, barriers, concerns, beliefs and values.  Through the coaching process thought exploration leads to options and choices to decisions and finally onto action.  By using an approach that matches the client requirements, and often this can be a mix of both indirect coaching and a more direct coaching style, the client will know what they want and how to get there for sustained change that lasts.  All of my clients receive a commitment from me for ongoing ‘support for life’ during which they can draw upon the latest tools and materials from my work in both coaching as well as learning design and delivery.
Specialist Areas I am a coach that works with the client to identify their own needs and goals and work with them from there using the coaching process.  For that reason specialities are not relevant in my work.  I am working with such a wide variety of people from all sectors and walks of life on many needs for example: career change and transition, performance and productivity, relationship-building, people management, influencing and negotiation, conflict resolution, time and energy management, life-work balance, overcoming barriers to success and emotional intelligence.
Coaching Tools During coaching I draw on tools such as Life Planning, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), EQi.20 psychometric testing (Emotional Intelligence, Accredited Practitioner), Personality and Career Profiling and many proven tests/exercises from training programmes on all areas of behavioural change including time management, life-work balance, emotional intelligence, stress management, influencing and networking skills building, management and leadership development.
Monitoring the individual and organisational impact of coaching The impact of coaching, both individually and organisationally, is evaluated by assessing the successful achievement of the needs which have been agreed to by all parties in the coaching relationship, in advance.  This, for me, is the crux of the relationship between the coach, the client and the organisation: the successful identification of needs upfront before coaching commences and the evaluation for successful outcomes throughout the coaching process and when the contract for coaching ceases.
Business experience A 25+ year business career in HR, Training and Development, Self-employment and Coaching across a broad spectrum of sectors in both private and public organisations

Other personal information Living in Cork, I am married with 3 children under the age of 21 years.  I have always worked in a role which combines my family and work-life interests and been attracted to the training/human relations field from a young age when I discovered, through helping my siblings with their homework, I wanted to be a teacher and work in career guidance.  My career in HR, Training and Coaching spanning more than 25 years, includes working as a specialist and as a senior executive at top team level, has moved between employment and self-employment, in a wide variety of organisations from public institutions to SMEs to global multi-nationals.
